The Bastide Neuve, that is the story of a friendship between three people fed by the same passion : Hugo and Nicole Wiestner, marveld at the lights of the Provence and Jérôme Paquette, local œnologue and trained at the university of Bordeaux.

It all started in 1988, when Nicole and Hugo Wiestner visited the Domaine de la Bastide Neuve, located at the bottom of the Maures hills. It was straight away love at first sight for this provincial country house of the last century, surrounded by vineyards and umbrella pines.
Their project to acquire a charming proprety rapidely changed into the will to produce great wines of Côtes de Provence. They hired Jérôme Paquette for this mission. Their collaboration converted very quickly into friendship....

It is in 1997, when the vineyard becomes even more known when Jérôme Paquette decides to reintroduce the "boute", a wooden barrel of 600 liters, traditionally used in Provence until the 18th century.
